SCOPE OF POLITICAL THEORY
The scope of Political Theory is continuoually expanding. We can only identify some of the points briefly.
1. It is the study of the state, professor Garner writes rightly that the subject matter of Political Theory begins and ends with the state.
2. It is the study of Phenomena of government, its organs,their relative relationship, the institution through which the government functions.
3. It is the study of political parties which in a democracy make and unmake the fortunes of theGovernment.
4. It is the study of political participation and political behaviour:how the citizens participate in the political activities and how they behave to vote during elections.

Scope or subject-matter of modern political theory can be ascertained. Its main topics are: political man, political behaviour, political groups; institutional, administrative or international politics; theory, ideology, parties etc.
